Celebrate National Cybersecurity Awareness Month

As Co-Chairs of the House Cybersecurity Caucus, we encourage you to accept the invitation you received from EMC2 to attend a National Cybersecurity Awareness Month reception on September 29, 2010, at 6 PM in the Capitol Visitor Center, Congressional North Meeting Room.  

Howard Schmidt, Amit Yoran, and other leaders in the cyber field have been invited to speak with Members and staff.  Mr. Schmidt is the current Cybersecurity Coordinator on the National Security Council.  He has served under two U.S. Presidents and has held distinguished government posts in the Department of Homeland Security and the U.S. Air Force.  Mr. Schmidt also has extensive expertise in issues affecting the private sector from his tenure at Microsoft.

Dr. Yoran is an industry leader and Chief Executive Officer of NetWitness Corporation, a leading provider of cyber security monitoring solutions.  Before joining NetWitness Corporation, Dr. Yoran co-founded Guardium, Inc., provider of software solutions for database activity monitoring, security, and auditing. Dr. Yoran served under President George W. Bush as Cyber Security Chief in the Department of Homeland Security.
